We’re so happy to be able to connect to electricity at our center, also we will install flood lights for the outdoor area and can even purchase two laptops ❤
Right now, TOONDA runs entirely on a small solar system. During the rainy season, it’s simply not enough. Inside our workshop room, volunteer house and library, it’s often too dark to read or write, left alone to charge one of our laptops. Outside, there’s no light at all — making the walk home after evening activities difficult and unsafe.
Without steady power, we can’t use our projector, charge laptops, or run our sound system for community events, left alone walking at night (no lights in general meets no charged phone with torch).
And as we are building our new woodworking and creative workshop, we also need reliable power for tools and training equipment.
Connecting TOONDA to the national power grid will cost €2,000 — a one-time investment that will change everything.
