Support for our library and community
Thanks to everyone who supported us to build and stock our library in 2024. We managed to finish a stone building, got a pallet of books from Books4Africa, ten computers and some furniture.
We invite you to be part of our ongoing mission to run the Toonda Library and create a welcoming space for learning and connection for everyone. To realise that vision we urgently need your support through donations.
Needed: shelves, to organise our books and make them easily accessible. Books, to expand our collection and share knowledge. And support to run the space – a paid librarian and internet.
Support for women and the community
We are also seeking financial support for women’s businesses, to help women build their own enterprises and achieve economic independence.
And for school fees, so that more children have access to education and can pursue their dreams.
Learn and share
We warmly welcome African community and social workers, as well as health workers, to apply to volunteer with us via Planetary Service.
You can learn how women in our area run businesses, get an insight into cultural heritage – arts, music, dance, crafts – or learn about permaculture. We welcome you to book classes with our instructors and groups.
How to donate
Ugandans can donate via mobile money. Internationals can deposit to our NGO account. As a registered non-profit association we are able to issue donation receipts.
