Cultural exchange on all levels<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Toonda wants to support cultural exchange on all levels. At our programme for international and regional artists it is not only about the arts, it is also about an exchange with local artists and curious neighbours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Artists from abroad are involved in community work adjusted to their experience and wishes, while enjoying the serene nature and kindness of the neighbourhood. They get in touch with local artists, give lectures or workshops, and allow an inside view of their artistic life.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Living on the grounds<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The artists live in our wooden house on the ground of the Community Center, with a kitchenette and toilet. They taste local food and become part of the programme of the Community Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the focus lies on supporting the East African art scene, we are also open for applications from community-work-interested artists from outside the region. Those we also offer help in their search for funding opportunities to cover the costs of their residency, if their application is successful.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
